I would rather be the villain, you see
because they are the ones who know true pain
the kind that's lit into rage and incinerates.
I would rather be the villain, you see
but I have met love.
He presented himself to me as my savior,
offered me his unconditioned heart and fulfilled all my favors.
The glass mask has shattered along with the already crumbling pieces of myself.
He asked me to let it all go
the painted facades, your hold on my heart.
He asked me to forgive.
Ever since my heart wont let it be
that I hurt another as they've hurt me.
My hope was once dead at your hands
but I'm no longer your fool so, a villain I cannot be.
because "once you have loved, you have got to fear the feeling of hate"
