What Does It Mean to Be in Love? A Poem About the True Love

The seasons will learn the definition of your heart, 
for time is only as precious as what you make of it. 

You ask, what does it mean to be in love? 
To be in love is to be seen and considered. 
To feel like I can touch the stars, 
no chains, no doubts, no hidden scars. 
Love is patient, love is kind. 

So, hold me tight, but be gentle. 
Like daisies in the field, 
pluck away my pains and kiss away my sorrows. 
Love is the perfect ruin, 
a graceful undoing of myself. 
When deception seeds the soil, 
it burns so hot it becomes unbearable. 
To know you like this, is to embrace my own demise. 

Oh to bloom in your garden 
were even broken things learn the shape of light again. 
Just look up at the sky and believe in your heart. 
Love is the magic between heavens and the earth.
